The Neurogenic Speech, Language, and Swallowing Disorders Clinic at Osai Speech & Hearing Centre specializes in the assessment and management of communication and swallowing difficulties resulting from neurological conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), Parkinson’s disease, dementia, motor neuron disease, and other neurodegenerative disorders.
We address a wide range of disorders including aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia of speech, cognitive-communication disorders, and dysphagia (swallowing difficulties). Comprehensive evaluations are conducted using standardized tools and clinical assessments to understand each individual’s unique challenges.
Based on the diagnosis, personalized therapy plans are developed to improve speech clarity, language function, safe swallowing, and effective communication. Our care also includes education and training for family members and caregivers to support ongoing management at home.
